⭐ In memory of LCpl Jared Schmitz, USMC— and every hero who never came home.

Five years ago, a group of friends, neighbors, and strangers bound by grief and gratitude gathered in Tracy, California with a simple mission: to make sure the sacrifice of our fallen heroes is never forgotten. What started as a pub crawl in memory of LCpl Jared Schmitz — a Lcpl in the Marine Corp who gave everything in service to our country during the Afghanistan evacuation in 2020 — has grown into one of our community’s most meaningful annual traditions. Over four years, we’ve raised over $20,000 together. This year, we’re aiming higher.

This May 29th, we invite you to join us for the 5th Annual For the Brave: An Evening of Honor.

The night will include an unforgettable performance by The Killer Dueling Pianos — who are donating all of their tips to our cause — along with delicious food, a cash bar, raffle and silent auction. We will give a heartfelt tribute to our Gold Star families and honor all of those who are currently serving and have served our great country.

Your donation — no matter the size — will go directly to local charities who honor and support our Military community as well as The Freedom 13, the inspiration for this endeavor. Recipients over the past 4 years include:

• Wreaths Across America – Tracy: Ensuring every veteran’s grave in Tracy is honored with a wreath at Christmas

• Homes for Our Troops: Building specially adapted homes for severely injured post-9/11 veterans. A home was built in 2024 in Byron for a Marine Veteran and his family.

• Gone But Not Forgotten Veteran Project: Keeping the resting places of our local veterans beautiful and dignified

• Cpl Charles O Palmer II Military Troop Support Program: Giving an opportunity to everyday citizens to reach out to an active duty Military personnel with care packages

• The Freedom 13: Supporting the families of fallen heroes right here in our community

Our service members lay their lives on the line every day for our freedom. Every dollar raised will help honor and support those who defend our country — and make sure those who gave everything are never forgotten.
