John West is a recent Patrol Sergeant for the Montgomery County Precinct 2 Constable’s Office. On April 7th, 2025, John was involved in a motorcycle accident while off-duty, which left him a quadriplegic. He underwent two surgeries to stabilize his neck and was on a breathing tube his first week after the injury. Until his release last week, he was in an inpatient rehabilitation facility where he saw physical and occupational therapists, as well as speech therapists. Since being home, his wife has shared that they will need a different vehicle to transport Sergeant West due to the difficulties she has in getting him in and out of the vehicle on her own. They will also likely need to make renovations to their home to make it handicap accessible.

The benefit will be held July 26th from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the VFW Post 4709 in Conroe, located at 1303 W Semands Ave, Conroe, TX 77301. The benefit will raise funds for the family for these expenses. The food will be covered by Joe’s Italian in Conroe, and plates will be sold for $20. There will also be a silent auction.
