This year, in celebration of our mother’s 75th birthday, we created the SASH Scholarship. Shirley Ann Steinback-Hawthrone devoted nearly 50 years to serving as a nurse and healthcare leader. She didn’t just care for patients, she uplifted families, mentored colleagues, strengthened communities, and modeled what it truly means to lead with compassion. This scholarship is our way of ensuring that her legacy of service continues.

The SASH Scholarship was created to support students pursuing nursing careers and embody four values: service, advocacy, stewardship, and humanity.

We’ve planted the seed to grow this legacy, and now we need you to help us water it.

$50 to honor our mom’s nearly 50 years of healthcare service,
$75 to celebrate her 75th trip around the sun, or
a custom donation amount.
