The Rotary Club of Willits and the Seabiscuit Therapeutic Riding Center (STRC) are gearing up for their annual “Claws for a Cause” fundraiser to be held Saturday evening, Saturday September 5, 2026, 5:30pm at the “Howard House” lawn on the historic Ridgewood Ranch, home of the famed racehorse, Seabiscuit, just south of Willits. Proceeds from this event will benefit STRC with 10% to the Rotary Club of Willits Scholarship Fund. STRC is a therapeutic horsemanship program dedicated to supporting individuals with disabilities through teaching the skill of horsemanship to help with daily life. We provide services to residents of Mendocino and Lake Counties ages 4 to 99.

Guests will enjoy this beautiful setting with an evening of fine dining and live music. The evening begins with live music by Those Guys while guests enjoy appetizers, socializing and viewing auction items. Dinner is being planned and prepared by Caroline Radice of Black Dog Farm and Catering to include Live Maine Lobster, prime rib and dessert, with ingredients from Golden Rule Gardens and other local resources.

We continue to grow our program and partnerships while maintaining the quality and safety that we are known for. In order to maintain and grow in these ways, we hope to raise $100,000 and we hope we can count on you to help us reach this goal!
