Darlene Sharon Marie Smith was determined, faith-filled, and generous.

She was a devoted wife to Basette Smith for 48 years, a loving mother of five, and a proud grandmother of ten. Her life was marked not just by what she accomplished, but by who she helped along the way.

In her 40s, Darlene made the bold decision to return to school and become an Attorney. Her determination proved that personal growth can happen at any age and pursuing purpose is not bound by time.

But beyond her professional achievements, Darlene was known for her selfless nature and willingness to help others accomplish their goals.

Darlene consistently poured into others through tithing, financial support, and investing in opportunities that helped others grow; especially in their education and their faith. She believed in showing up for people and in helping others become who they were called to be.

This scholarship fund was created to continue that legacy.

Through the Darlene Smith Faith & Purpose Scholarship, we provide financial support to individuals who are committed to personal, educational, and spiritual growth. Each contribution helps open doors for those who need access, opportunity to pursue their goals. The donations help individuals attend Christian youth camps.

Scholarship recipients are chosen based on their financial need and after review of their application.

Funds are collected under The Darlene Smith Faith & Purpose Scholarship and distributed annually to selected recipients.

This scholarship ensures Darlene's impact continues through other men and women who need access, opportunity, and who desire spiritual growth in the Lord.
