At Happy Hearts Working, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2017, we believe every adult with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) deserves a safe, supportive, and purpose-filled place to thrive. Our enriching Christian program builds independence, life and work skills, and community connections through joy, dignity, and opportunity—fostering job placements, volunteer roles, and meaningful part-time employment.

For years, we've dreamed of a permanent home in the greater KC area where our Associates can learn, work, and live semi-independently. Through incredible community support, local businesses, and volunteers, we've transformed a "work-in-progress" building into an inspiring space offering day services and residential options.

We're so close—but rising construction costs and essential safety upgrades mean we need your help to finish strong and open our doors!
