Our Story: Our “Hope on the Fairway”

The Millie Moo Foundation was created in honor of Millie DeClercq, a beautiful baby girl born on March 17, 2025. Millie was the light of her family — bright blue eyes, farm-girl roots, and a name meant to be carried proudly into a new generation.

At just six months old, Millie was diagnosed with Malignant Rhabdoid Tumor, a rare and aggressive pediatric cancer. Nineteen days later, she passed away in the arms of the family who loved her more than life itself. The shock, the grief, and the financial burden that hit her parents and extended family are experiences no parent should ever face alone.

Through that heartbreak, a mission was born.

The Millie Moo Foundation exists to ensure that families facing pediatric cancer never walk this journey alone. We provide support during the most overwhelming moments — when parents are traveling to treatments, stepping away from work, juggling medical bills, or simply trying to keep their households functioning while fighting for their child.

Your support helps us provide:

Travel assistance for treatment transportation
Help with essential household bills including mortgage/rent, utilities, groceries, and other necessities
Financial relief during crisis, especially when time off work becomes unavoidable

But the foundation also carries another piece of Millie’s legacy — her family’s deep agricultural roots.

Agriculture Scholarships Inspired by Millie’s Farm Family

In honor of the DeClercq family’s multigenerational farming background, we award scholarships to high-achieving local students pursuing careers in Agriculture. These students represent the next generation of producers, veterinarians, agronomists, researchers, and advocates who will carry forward the values Millie was born into: hard work, stewardship, resilience, and community.
