Meet Reese!

This sweet little baby is our newest neurological intake. She travelled a long journey from Sunshine Dog Rescue in Arizona to us, at Furgiven Animal Sanctuary, in West Memphis, Arkansas. She arrived late last night and has already stolen all our hearts. Currently, Reese is unable to stand or walk on her own. We know that her mom was sick during her pregnancy and that the illness likely affected her development. She has had some initial assessments done by veterinarians, and all testing has come back negative. With her clearly significantly affected mobility, we will be diving deeper into diagnostics to identify the cause. This likely means an MRI, and trip to see our neurology team at Mississippi State. She will be receiving a physical therapy intensive, be fitted with her first wheelchair, and any other adaptive equipment she needs.
