At First Watch Rescue, we have devoted every ounce of our time, energy, and love to the cats who have no one else. The ones too sick, too injured, or too abandoned for anyone else to take in.

Help Us Continue This Life-Saving Work by Donating Today!

Michigan is overwhelmed by an epidemic of stray and abandoned pets. Since our founding in 2024, FWR has been dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and adopting out these animals. Our mission is simple: to give every animal a second chance at life.

Why We Need Your Help: SE Michigan faces a dire overpopulation crisis. Every year, thousands of dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens flood local shelters, with far more animals in need of homes than there are families ready to adopt them. Many of these pets are at immediate risk of euthanasia simply due to overcrowding. FWR steps in to save these lives, providing essential veterinary care and placing the animals in loving foster homes or our boarding facility until they are ready for transport to our trusted rescue partners across the country to find their forever homes.

We cannot continue this lifesaving work without your support. 2026 has hit our organization with back-to-back emergencies causing thousands of dollars in vet bills. We are counting on animal lovers like YOU to help us pay on our debt, all statements which we will have posted for transparency.

How Your Donation Makes a Difference: Our costs cover everything from veterinary care to room and board, sterilization and age-appropriate vaccinations. Your donation directly funds these critical services, ensuring that more animals can be saved from euthanasia and given the chance to find loving, forever homes.

By donating to FWR, you are not just contributing to an organization—you are saving lives. Every dollar you give helps provide the medical care, food, shelter, comfort, transportation costs, and safe passage these animals need. It’s more than a donation; it’s a commitment to making a difference in the lives of animals who have no other hope.

Join Us in Saving Lives: We set the standard for animal care and transport, and our results speak for themselves. But none of this would be possible without the generosity of people like you.

Please consider making a tax-deductible donation today. Your support is vital to our mission and to the thousands of animals whose lives hang in the balance. Together, we can continue to make a profound difference.
