Since beginning our Fill the Plate, Feed a Family Challenge in 2015, this funding has proved essential in allowing our agency to evolve and improve our food assistance services. It was the leading reason why we were able to rapidly adapt our distribution method in March 2020 without any lapse in service due to COVID-19 and has been essential as we continue to meet the sustained demand. In 2024, we saw the sustained increase in people coming to The Gray House for food assistance begin to decrease for the first time since the start of the pandemic. Unfortunately, this was short lived. During the first six months of 2025, we have served an average of 6,492 individuals per month, a 48% increase from the same period during 2024. With a federally funded grant that we historically received to help us cover food costs no longer available, your donations are even more crucial this year in ensuring we can feed everyone who comes to our Market for assistance.
