At I Am U, we believe in the power of healing—in community, in sisterhood, and in truth.

We exist to affirm and empower women impacted by HIV, inter-partner violence, and other complex traumas. Our mission is to enhance overall well-being through culturally sensitive prevention services, holistic health education, and intentional spaces for restoration and joy.

From peer support circles to storytelling sessions, from vibrant wellness retreats to quiet moments of reflection—we hold space for women to be seen, heard, and whole.

This year, we’ve deepened our mission and expanded our vision.

Our Sis, Me Too Retreat is one example—welcoming women of all backgrounds who are seeking rest, reconnection, and release. These retreats are more than events—they are sacred spaces for truth-telling, creativity, and collective healing.

We’ve grown, and that growth has been intentional. At our core, I Am U exists to empower women impacted by trauma, and that will always remain our foundation. But we also know healing doesn’t happen in isolation. That’s why we’ve created spaces where women from every walk of life can feel safe, supported, and seen.

This isn’t a shift away from our mission—it’s the fullest expression of it.
