A home for every person at the hour of death

Two years ago, Inhora executive director "Miles" Gloetzner woke up mid-night and jotted down ideas that were coming to him about a home for the dying. Since then he's been on a journey of self-discovery which climaxed with finding the "social model hospice home," which was literally the method that he had dreamed about but didn't know existed.

A year after that night's experience, he decided that it was time to make the dream come true. The first person (besides his wife Savanna) he shared the idea with was Abraham Placencio. Abraham immediately felt called to cofound a home for the dying. He said that his life experiences up to then were all preparing for this labor of love. Abraham life's was cut short on March 11th, but we can continue his life's mission that "no one will die alone."

In Albuquerque alone, data shows that as many as 340 persons a year who want to die in home are actually dying in streets, ERs, nursing homes--and many of these alone. In calling every hospice organization in town, we found that there is a need for a home like ours. We will partner with hospices (not compete) who give their services for free to those who can't afford it and who lack community support.
