We're Seattle Gay News: A trans-owned, locally-written newspaper. We've been reporting on Seattle's vibrant LGBTQ+ community for over a half-century, for FREE at your local coffee shop!

We were there to remember those we lost during the AIDS crisis. We're celebrating our growing visibility and culture, and fighting hard to expose those seeking to harm our communities. We want to continue telling stories, because every queer person deserves to have their story told!

However, today, we're facing a major problem: The Trump Administration has f*cked with us. Like many LGBTQ+ groups, we saw companies step away from advertising with us after 2024. Then, because of widespread tariffs, the rising prices of ink and aluminum doubled our printing costs.

Our revenue's down, our expenses keep growing, and we're likely to go into debt without a solution. Sometimes, our team can feel helpless to stop the bleeding. Yet we are not helpless. Far from it.

We know we're part of an incredible community of creatives, fighters, and dreamers. We're fighting amongst both our elders and the next generation. We're a small part of one of the most accepting, LGBTQ+ friendly cities in the entire world!
